For L’Oréal, more than 50% of our furniture modules were reused in new projects, supported by detailed documentation and tracking. This dedication earned us the L’Oréal for the Future Sustainability Award — a recognition of our meaningful and measurable impact.
Rethinking resources: A circular approach
While sustainability conversations often focus on using eco-friendly materials, we believe the greatest impact comes from reusing what already exists. In partnership with L’ORÉAL, we’ve implemented a forward-thinking circular strategy that gives new life to used furniture modules — a vital step in advancing the company’s environmental goals:
- Dismantle old installations with care
- Break down furniture into reusable modules and recyclable raw materials
- Recycle raw materials (e.g. wood, metal, acrylic)
- Store reusable modules securely for future use
- Document all recycled and reused components
- Rebuild — integrating modules into innovative new designs
